About Nairobi's time zone
Kenya has used a fixed UTC+3 offset since East African countries standardised their time zones in the mid-20th century, and has never observed daylight saving time. Nairobi's near-equatorial location means sunrise and sunset barely shift across the year, the main reason equatorial countries typically skip seasonal clock changes altogether.
