About Mexico City's time zone
Mexico observed daylight saving time nationally from 1996 until 2022, when the federal government abolished it for most of the country, keeping only a narrow strip near the US border on the old DST schedule for cross-border convenience. Mexico City has used a fixed UTC-6 offset year-round since.
