About Honolulu's time zone
Hawaii is one of the few US states that doesn't observe daylight saving time, opting out when the state legislature adopted the federal Uniform Time Act of 1966. Its low latitude means day length barely changes across the year, leaving little practical benefit to shifting clocks the way the mainland US does.
